Great place for groups (we had a 35 person family reunion). The cabins were primitive but nice. Camp runs on a generator, and there was road traffic on occasion through camp, but plenty of kayaks and motorboats to explore the lake and islands.

What a nice quiet retreat on a beautiful lake. We had 35 people for a family reunion. the cabins are rustic but sufficient. the generator runs the camp well. The lodge is great especially the kitchen... great gathering area. They have a nice dock with fishing boats and kayaks. Thanks Patty.

We had a family reunion at Nicatous Lodge and had a wonderful time! The lodge has a huge kitchen where we could all cook our meals together. The lodge main space is fabulous with a large fireplace and plenty of room to gather. The front porch is screened in and overlooks the lake - really beautiful. There are bedrooms in the lodge with additional cabins that are completely furnished with fully equipped kitchens. Our hosts, Patty and Steve, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Motor boats available to be taken out onto the lake or to go fishing - or just fish off the dock! If you want to get away from the world and spend time with your family or friends, this is the place to go! By the way, we did go swimming in June and brought our dogs with us. Beautiful, beautiful, place! Very memorable!

We have stayed here on numerous occasions, and it always feels like one big family. The log cabins are rustic, but very clean and comfortable, with screened porches. There are boat rentals, or you can bring your own. There are also canoes and kayaks you can use to paddle the beautiful, peaceful stream behind the lodge. Swimming off their dock in the clean waters of the lake is wonderful, and the lake is excellent for fishing.

Had the most wonderful time at Nicatous Lodge! This place is spectacular! So beautiful and so peaceful! The cabins are clean and the beds are comfortable. New owners Ryan and Maggie (as of 9/1/25) are terrific and have been updating the lodges. If you want to feel like you went back in time and escape from a hectic world, this is the perfect spot!
